Artist Statement
I love winter. There is a beauty in the bleakness. However, more importantly winter means snow. I love fresh fallen snow. The world for a moment turns black and white. I can sit for hours in a field watching the snow fall around me. It is a metaphor, a reflection of the purity and beauty God brings into our lives as we live in relationship with our creator. Even though God does not cover up our imperfections and short comings, rather, transforms them, the results are the same, the bleakness of winter is transformed into radiant beauty.
